Father’s Rights Attorney Jeffery Leving to Lecture at Statesville Correctional Center


Chicago, IL – (October 20, 2008)- - Nationally renowned fathers’ rights attorney and author Jeffery M. Leving will be lecturing at the Statesville Correctional Center in Joliet, IL on October 28, 2008 at 10:30 a.m.  Mr. Leving will be lecturing to a group of incarcerated fathers, all of whom will be released within the next year, about staying connected to their children while incarcerated and how to be an effective parent upon release.

Mr. Leving comments, “These men are facing enormous societal hurdles once they are released from prison. Usually, they are released with little or no guidance to help them get their lives on track and reintegrate back into their families.” Leving goes on to say, “If we want to prevent these men from becoming repeat offenders, we need to arm them with the resources they so desperately need which include help reuniting them with their children.”

Jeffery M. Leving has been protecting fathers’ rights for over 25 years. He is the author of “Fathers’ Rights” (Basic Books) and “Divorce Wars” (Harper Collins). Mr. Leving is the founder of www.dadsrights.com and co-authored the Illinois Joint Custody Law. He is the Governor appointed Chair of the Illinois Council on Responsible Fatherhood.
