Amy Peterselli brings an aggressive and energetic approach to litigating a wide range of family law cases at the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd.  She has an unwavering commitment to fathers’ rights, and advocates passionately and veraciously to ensure our clients are active participants in their children’s lives. She has also worked on complex multi-million-dollar cases and readily grasps the complexity of matrimonial litigation.

Amy earned her Juris Doctor degree from UIC John Marshall Law School in Chicago and a communication degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Amy is a member of several bar associations and has authored legal articles which have appeared in numerous professional publications.

Amy’s prior experience of handling complex real estate and contract law matters is invaluable in handling contentious high asset divorce cases.  Additionally, Amy clerked for the Judge Pamela McLean Meyerson in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Amy’s wealth of experience in designing and implementing successful strategies to accomplish her client’s goals, combined with her tough negotiation and litigation skills, make her a formidable advocate for the rights of our clients.
Important Legal Case Victories:
  • Amy worked tirelessly for our client, a great dad, and persuaded the court to award him sole custody of his daughter, and to deny the mother parenting time because she had allowed the little girl to be abused in exchange for drugs.
  • Amy was an integral part of the Leving legal team that helped secure a pardon from the governor for our client for a long-ago offense. Obtaining this pardon kept our client from being deported from the United States and separated from his family and children. Such pardons are extremely rare and difficult to obtain. Now our client can continue living here, working and raising his children.
