Biography
Before joining the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd., Ms. Shvets worked for a firm in Downtown Chicago representing a wide range of civil, criminal defense and immigration clients in federal and state courts in Illinois. Her experience spans family law, divorce, personal injury, insurance, construction and criminal law cases, giving her the unique advantage of diverse perspectives and experiences to better represent her clients and make an impact in the larger fight for fathers.
Ms. Shvets brings a high level of communication and collaboration to every case, and works tirelessly to research and develop creative solutions to win for her clients every day.
While in Law School at Michigan State University, Ms. Shvets worked as guardian ad litem for the Ingham County Probate Court, focusing on guardianships for legally incapacitated individuals and minors. Serving as a guardian ad litem, she discovered her passion for family law and representing the unique needs of every client.
Ms. Shvets maintains active memberships with the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Ms. Shvets speaks several languages in addition to English in order to best support the unique needs of her diverse client base. She is fluent in Ukrainian and Polish and conversant in Russian and Italian.
