Family Law Litigator

We are recruiting an exceptional family law attorney with a winning track record seeking to advance their career.

The firm’s president and founder, Jeffery M. Leving, has co-authored ground-breaking laws in Illinois and both he and many other firm attorneys have won major legal victories throughout the country changing lives for the better, effectuating both social and legal change in America. Attorney Leving helped reunite Elian Gonzalez with his father in Cuba. You must be an Illinois licensed attorney with a minimum of 3 years of family law litigation experience. You will need strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to develop a rapport with clients. Multilingual abilities are a plus.

You will be proactively managing family law cases from beginning to end and will need experience with dissolutions, allocation of parental responsibilities, paternity, orders of protection, custody litigation and related financial issues.

A Summer Associate Program

The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd.’s legal assistant program is an exceptional experience for anyone considering a career in family law.  Unlike summer programs that last only a few months, the program at the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. introduces legal assistants to every aspect of the practice.  The firm takes a multidisciplinary approach to training so that individuals hired from the program can make a seamless transition into the practice.  This approach includes a series of substantive seminars presented by this firm’s litigators on important facets of the practice area; shadowing of attorneys at meetings, depositions, and court appearances; and opportunities to work directly with the firm’s Chicago family law attorneys on cases.

The firm’s legal assistants have access to the same in-house training programs developed for associate attorneys of the firm.  Any legal assistant who completes the program will likely emerge with a real world/real time view of the practice of family law.  Law students in the program have an advantage when being considered for associate positions.  This firm takes pride in its ability to provide unparalleled service to our clients and their families.

Family Law Paralegal

Great opportunity for a litigation paralegal. Strong verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills a must. Successful candidates will support assigned attorneys and back up other paralegals as needed. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player. Qualifications
